IN THIS LESSON, YOU WILL BECOME MORE FAMILIAR WITH RUN-ON SENTENCES AND WILL LEARN HOW TO CORRECT THEM

A run-on sentence is the opposite of fragment. Instead of missing pieces, a run-on sentence has too many pieces.

We correct run-on sentences by separating the pieces into individual sentences or thoughts.

Here are two run-on sentences. Observe how each run-on sentence is corrected. Practice identifying simple sentences by separating these run-ons with periods. We'll cover commas in more detail in the next chapter.
